Invitations

So another party is almost here!!! Becky and I are so excited and have a few new things up our sleeve to debut at next party. For these invitations I was inspired by a beautiful vase of flowers. It had deep purple and deep rich yellow flowers. I wanted something that had a hint of Easter and I liked this combination of deep purple and buttery soft yellow. I added the chocolate burlap for some rich contrast. The burlap's texture made me think of a birds nest, soil, and burlap bags of produce and seeds. I loved how the gold trim gave it sophistication. I used the same pocket idea and included a free clip for everyone!!! I loved the buttery yellow flowers, but we also included white flowers since they are more versatile. Invitations

I have always loved scrap booking. Well maybe not always... my mom is the scrap book queen and would always get me supplies for Christmas. She kind of gave me the nudge in the right direction. The real kicker was when she got me my Cricut and I had my first darling daughter. I dove in and was hooked. I love journaling and telling our story through pictures. So when Becky and I started talking about making invitations, I quickly said, "I'll do it, I'll do it, I'll do it!!!" Becky was happy to let me run with it and here's what we ended up with! The more I fall in love with crafting the more I love mixing different mediums together. This was a fun mini project because I used paper, fabric, ribbon and sewed it all together. We both are feeling a little stir crazy due to the cold weather and wanted our invitations to explode with warm colors. We can't wait for spring! We also had to throw in a free clip for everyone to give them a tinny taste of what is to come. See you next Thursday 7-8:30 @ Juliana's.
