Fabric Scrap Bookmarks

So I have this friend, who emails me little projects she finds that she wants us to do together....You know, we'll get together and let our kids play, or sometimes we'll do a craft night.....Here is our latest project:  Fabric Scrap Bookmarks.  My friend knows how I LOVE projects that use up my scraps:)

I did a couple different sizes--it was totally based on how big my scraps were!  I can't decide which size I liked better--maybe the mini ones?  But either way, aren't they ADORABLE?

You know me--I can never just make one:)  These are the front of the Bookmarks....

And these are the backs; gotta love 'em!

This was my favorite one--I made it for my daughter who LOVES rainbows.

Just perfect for all those library books we get--and forget to bring back so I pay lots of money in fines:)  It's ok though--I saved money by making my own bookmarks, right?

For my other daughter who is my Sunshine girl--as we like to call her:)

Sidenote: I LOVE BOOKS!  Seriously--can't you tell by my worn out copy of Little House on the Prairie?  I'm reading this with my girls right now and we are all in L-O-V-E.

You can find the tutorial we followed HERE.  Seven Layer Studio is a blog I'm definitely following for now on! THANKS for the rad tutorial Shelley!

Back to Reality

Sigh......I'm officially back to real life.....I have had an amazing summer!  It has been non stop fun and crazy but that's just how my family likes to roll it seems.  Seriously though, you won't believe all that we've done--if I didn't have the pictures to prove it, I wouldn't believe it myself!  I thought it'd be fun to show some fun pics of what I've been up to:)

First off my hubby surprised me for our anniversary to go to Disneyland!  Just us--no kids--we actually went there for our Honeymoon so he was being quite romantic:)

Disneyland ice cream is seriously the best....

And yeah, we went to France and England....(Yeah, I have amazing In-laws)  Here we are at the top of the Eiffel Tower looking out at the city of Paris.  It was AMAZING!

At base of the Eiffel Tower--Isn't my husband seriously good lookin?

Waiting to catch the train--yeah we're nerds:)

At the Louvre Museum......

In England--Yep that's Big Ben and Parliament--are you jealous yet?

Ok--seriously taking the tour bus in London was one of the funnest things we've ever done....I can't even tell you why--but if you ever go to London--take the tour bus!  It rocked!

We saw so many other amazing places--I mean we were there for two weeks:) So, yeah, we went to Disneyland, France, England....OH!  We actually lived in AZ for about a month with some of my siblings waiting for our house to finish being built!  YEP!  We just moved into our new house--seriously like two weeks ago.  It's beautiful and I'm literally pinching myself because it's a dream come true!

So, life hasn't exactly been normal life for me for the entire summer.  But hey, I'm not complaining!  We had the time of our lives!  But it is nice being back in our own house--having all my clothes and shoes back:)  AND I found quite a few fun things on my travels for our shop---just thinking about it makes me ridiculously excited!

I hope I didn't bore you with my ramblings--believe me, thank your lucky stars I didn't share all my pics;)  I had to show you how crazy busy my life has been--hence the disappearance from the blogosphere...But since I'm back to reality now--so it would seem--FOR NOW--I figured I'd get back to my crafting.  I have a new house so obviously there are a ton of projects I have in mind for it!  Stay Tuned:)
